What is a Digital Stamp?
A digital (or as some refer to them, a Digi) stamp is a black and white or color image that you can downloaded onto your computer where you can manipulate it if you so desire before printing out the image.
Digital stamps are increasing in popularity due to a number of advantages over a rubber stamp attached to a block of wood, or a cling or clear stamp you use with an acrylic block. First, and foremost there is no storage issue. Once you have downloaded them, you can place them into a folder on your computer so there is no need for shelf space. You also have the advantage that the image will come out crisp and clear each time. No worries about smudging or faint lines. Typically, most digital stamps are provided as a PDF, PNG or Vector file. And last but certainly not least, because the manufacture doesn’t have to invest in machinery or supplies to produce a rubber/cling/clear stamp in the hopes it will sell, typically you can purchase digital stamps for less than the price of any of the other types of stamps.
